Palantir Technologies (PLTR) — threat to the moat

The same bootcamp that multiplied Palantir's American business left international commercial revenue up 2.5% in 2025.

The method that multiplied Palantir's American business has not worked abroad. International commercial revenue was $499.0 million in 2022, $545.7 million in 2023, $593.6 million in 2024 and $608.2 million in 20251, growth of 2.5% in the last year while US commercial revenue grew 109%23.

International commercial revenue ($M)499.02022545.72023593.62024608.22025Calculated: commercial segment revenue less US commercial, Palantir Forms 10-K
Flat while the American business took off.

The share tells the story more starkly. International commercial was about 29% of Palantir's revenue in 2021 and about 14% in 20254. The same platform, the same bootcamps and the same AIP have not produced the same result.

The second quarter of 2026 offered a small recovery: international commercial revenue grew 26% to $182 million5. One quarter does not reverse four years.

The reasons are not disclosed, and it would be wrong to invent them. What the figures show is that Palantir's selling advantage is, so far, American. The number that would change that view is a second and third quarter of international commercial growth above 20%; without it, the moat is narrower than the US figures alone suggest.
