✦ An 82% Year, Raised TwiceNarrow moat
Palantir Technologies (PLTR) — the future bets
Palantir raised its 2026 revenue forecast by nearly a billion dollars in six months, and the fourth quarter now has to reach about $2.4 billion.
Palantir's own forecast for 2026 has risen twice. In February it guided revenue of $7.182 billion to $7.198 billion1; in August it raised the range to "between $8.150 – $8.158 billion"2, 82% growth. The midpoint rose by about $964 million3.
The profit guidance rose with it. Adjusted income from operations is now expected at $4.889 billion to $4.897 billion, against $4.126 billion to $4.142 billion in February, and adjusted free cash flow at $4.5 billion to $4.7 billion, against $3.925 billion to $4.125 billion45. The company also expects GAAP operating income and net income "in each quarter of this year"6.
The first half delivered 43.8% of the guided revenue7. The second half therefore requires about $4,586 million8, and the third-quarter guide of $2,160 million to $2,164 million9 implies about $2,424 million in the fourth quarter10.
A company that raises guidance twice in a year is either conservative or riding a wave. Two raises in six months point to the first so far, but the arithmetic of 82% growth on $4.5 billion is demanding either way.
The company put the growth rate in its headline. The August release was titled "Raises FY 2026 Revenue Guidance to 82% Y/Y Growth"11. A company that states its own growth forecast that plainly is inviting investors to hold it to the number.
The November results will decide. A third raise would confirm that demand is still outrunning management's forecasts; a guide held flat with a fourth quarter near $2.4 billion would be the first sign that the wave has crested.
Raised in May and August 2026.
Cash the year is expected to produce; a cut would be the first sign demand has crested.
