◆ What the Market Isn't Pricing In

XTB (XTB) — the variant view

A derivatives broker is quietly assembling a European savings platform at 600 złoty a client, and monetising it at twenty-nine basis points.

📈 XTB valuation, revenue & earnings — P/E, P/S, revenue, EPS →

At 14 times trailing earnings XTB is priced as what it is: a market maker whose profits depend on volatility, discounted appropriately for the fact that they do.1 That is a defensible valuation of the business as reported, and it prices only one of the two things happening inside the company.

Two companies inside one ticker43,4bn złClient instruments Jun 267,1bn złClient cash Jun 2617,0bn złXTB market value78m złGross gain on those assetsTwenty-nine basis points on the custody book, and 13,5 times earnings on the trading one
The market is valuing the half that earns, not the half that is compounding.

The other one is on the off-balance-sheet page. Clients held 13 682 million złoty of shares and exchange-traded funds in XTB accounts at the end of 2024, 27 284 million at the end of 2025 and 43 364 million at the end of June 2026.2 Add 7 125 million of client cash and XTB has custody of over 50 billion złoty of customer property, three times its own market value, growing at roughly 59 per cent every six months.3 Nothing in the earnings multiple reflects that, because nothing in the earnings reflects it either: shares and funds produced 78 million złoty of gross gain in 2025, 29 basis points on the assets and 3,8 per cent of the total.4

The bull case is straightforward once stated. Custody at 29 basis points is a European savings platform being assembled at a marketing cost of about 600 złoty per client and monetised at almost nothing. Every comparable business — Trade Republic at more than 150 billion euros, Trading 212 at 25 billion pounds — is valued on assets rather than on trading revenue, and on multiples that do not resemble 14 times earnings.5 XTB is already collecting interest on the cash, has built the tax wrapper in Poland, Britain and France, and has a Polish tax reform arriving in 2026 aimed at household savings in the country with the highest share of them sitting in cash and deposits among the large European Union economies.6

The bear case is the same set of facts read the other way. Assets per client are 15 300 złoty, a little over half what Trading 212 carries.7 The revenue on those assets is 29 basis points and XTB has publicly promised not to charge more, offering free dealing up to 100 000 euros of turnover.8 And the 3,8 per cent ratio, impressive as a growth rate, means the sticky business would have to grow tenfold before it changed what this company is.9

There is also a party who has expressed a view. The founder's holding company sold about 9,4 million shares during 2025, taking its stake from 43,78 per cent to 35,78, and has not moved since.10

The number that settles it is gross gain on shares and funds as a share of total gross gain: 0,7 per cent in 2023, 1,7 in 2024, 3,8 in 2025.11 Two more years of that trajectory and the market is valuing the wrong business. A stall, and 14 times is right.12
