◆ Inside the Latest Quarter (Q2 FY2027)
CrowdStrike (CRWD) — the variant view
CrowdStrike's latest quarter brought record net new ARR, up 51%, and a raised outlook, while GAAP profit was a thin $5.3 million.
📈 CRWD valuation, revenue & earnings — P/E, P/S, revenue, EPS →CrowdStrike's second quarter of fiscal 2027, the three months to 31 July 2026, was its strongest for new business. Net new ARR was a record $332.8 million, up 51%1, and ARR reached $5.84 billion, up 25%2. Revenue was $1.47 billion, up 26%, of which subscriptions were $1.40 billion, up 27%3.
The margins improved. GAAP subscription gross margin was 78%, from 77%4. Non-GAAP operating income was $371.6 million, against $255.0 million a year earlier, a 25% margin against 22%5. On a GAAP basis the company lost $33.2 million from operations, against $105.5 million6, and earned net income of $5.3 million, $0.01 a share after the four-for-one split7.
Cash was strong. Operating cash flow was $530.3 million and free cash flow $377.4 million8, a record for a second quarter. Cash stood at $5.01 billion9. Capital spending rose to $124.4 million10, and the company spent $881.4 million on acquisitions in the first half11.
The drivers were Flex and the adoption tables. Flex-account ARR exceeded $2.29 billion, up 101%, and 26% of subscription customers had eight or more modules12. The line for the July 2024 incident turned into a net recovery of $14.5 million from insurance13.
Management raised its fiscal 2027 outlook to ARR of $6,603.0 million to $6,611.9 million and revenue of $5,991.1 million to $6,011.1 million14. First-half revenue of $2,856.5 million was about 47.6% of the revenue midpoint15.
The two quarters of the half fit together. The first quarter brought record first-quarter net new ARR of $255.8 million, up 32%16, so the first half added about $588.6 million17, and the company raised its fiscal 2027 ARR guidance after each quarter.
The next check is close. Third-quarter revenue is guided at $1,523.2 million to $1,529.2 million18; a result below the bottom of that range, after two raises, would be the first sign that the acceleration has run ahead of the business.
